Farmer Signs was founded in 1980 under the name Kenneth Farmer Advertising, Inc. Kenneth Farmer Advertising, Inc. started out as a marketing and advertising firm that specialized in signage design as well as creating and producing point-of-purchase materials for major oil companies.

In 1985 we were recruited by an advertising agency to design and develop signage for a local Atlanta real estate firm. The final product was constructed of two high impact styrene plastic panels fused together and assembled on a black powdered coated steel stand. This sign was extremely lightweight, durable, cost effective and easy to use with no assembly required.

During the next year, due to high demand, we applied for and received a patent on the design / construction of our real estate sign. It was then that we made the decision to devote our entire operation to manufacturing real estate signs nationwide - thus the beginning of Farmer Signs.
